5-Ingredient Skillet Sausage Alfredo Recipe

It’s 5 o’clock on another crazy weeknight and once again you’re wondering, “What should I make for dinner?” Sound familiar? Luckily, with little effort you can whip up this delicious Skillet Sausage Alfredo recipe in no time!

This Skillet Sausage Alfredo recipe from our Five After 5 cookbook is a breeze to make! The best part?! It only takes FIVE ingredients! This means grocery shopping is easier and less expensive! And less prep means fewer dishes to clean and more time to get on with your evening. You’ll be left with good food, full stomachs, and happy people. How can you go wrong?

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. uncooked pasta (any type)
  • 1 (13 oz.) pkg. smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 C. heavy cream
  • 2 tsp. Cajun seasoning
  • ½ C. shredded Parmesan cheese

Cook the pasta according to package directions; drain and set aside.

Meanwhile, toss the sausage into a big skillet and sauté for several minutes until toasty-looking, stirring occasionally. Stir in the cream and seasoning; bring to a low boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 to 8 minutes or until the mixture starts to thicken, stirring often. Stir in the cheese until melted. Add the set-aside pasta and toss lightly to coat.
